$150,000 reward offered to find person who robbed a South Side letter carrier

The U.S. Postal Service is offering a $150,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of a suspect accused of robbing a letter carrier on the South Side.

A letter carrier was robbed about 4 p.m. on Nov. 14 near 6200 S. Evans Ave., the Postal Service said. The suspect then ran toward East 63rd Street.

The Postal Service said the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, light colored shoes, and a black face mask.

Anyone with information can contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service’s 24/7 hotline at (877) 876-2455. Callers should reference the case number, 4424894.

Residents are reminded not to interact with the suspect if they believe they have found him.
