Motorcyclist killed in Aurora crash caused by swerving sedan, police say

A motorcyclist was killed in an early morning Aurora crash on Sunday after a sedan swerved into the bike’s path, police said.

The unidentified man was riding a stolen Harley Davidson westbound down East Jewell Avenue around 12:20 a.m. Sunday when an older, beige sedan intentionally side-swiped the motorcycle, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Police said the sedan caused the motorcyclist to lose control of the bike and crash at the intersection of East Jewell Avenue and South Havana Street.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
