Denver Police Department officers responded to the shooting in the 1300 block of West Colfax Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. Nov. 3 and found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Investigators believe the man was arguing with Deangelo Luarks when the argument escalated and Luarks shot him, according to the department. Luarks is already in custody on an unrelated case and is set to appear in court Friday.
