<p id=”par-1_89″>David Eason found himself on the wrong side of the law again earlier this month. A North Carolina sheriff picked up the troubled former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/teen-mom-2/?swcfpc=1″><em>Teen Mom 2</em> </a>star after he took items from the home he once shared with his estranged wife, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/did-jenelle-evans-take-a-pay-cut-for-teen-mom-the-next-chapter.html/?swcfpc=1″>Jenelle Evans.</a> While Evans and Eason are not yet divorced, the mother of three insists he isn’t permitted to be at the property they once shared. Jenelle Evans alleges he also is not allowed to take things from “the land.” She recently explained exactly why that is.</p>

<p id=”par-2_51″>David Eason was arrested in early November after he appeared at the property owned by Jenelle Evans to collect belongings. Evans was not on the property at the time. Still, he technically violated the terms of the order of protection she has in place. He was also<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-estranged-husband-david-eason-has-been-arrestedagain.html/?swcfpc=1″> charged with trespassing.</a></p>

<p id=”par-3_85″>Evans spoke with<a href=”https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/teen-moms-david-eason-arrested-for-violating-protective-order/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”> In Touch</a> after news of his arrest broke. Evans explained to the publication that Eason is “not allowed back at the property at all because we have a bed and board order.” She went on to say that Eason had the chance to collect his belongings months ago. According to Evans, he no longer has a claim to anything on “the land.” He was at the residence with friends, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-throws-shade-david-easons-age-gap-relationship.html/”>his girlfriend</a>, and a law enforcement official who did not understand the situation.</p>
<p id=”par-4_61″>The order she references is a type of legal separation that allows a married couple to work out child support, alimony, and the division of marital assets before an absolute divorce can be sought. According to <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.rosen.com/divorce/divorcearticles/divorce-bed-and-board-basics/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rosen Law Firm,</a> the order is often called a limited divorce and usually strips spouses of the right of cohabitation and a claim on property.</p>

<p id=”par-5_36″>Evans likely sought the order because North Carolina requires a couple to be separated for at least one year before they can file for divorce. Evans can legally file for an absolute divorce in February 2025.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-david-eason-has-other-serious-legal-issues-to-contend-with”>David Eason has other serious legal issues to contend with</h2>
<p id=”par-6_48″>Eason now faces trespassing charges, but that is the least of his legal concerns. He still has a criminal case pending that could send him to prison for years. Those charges, which include a felony strangulation charge, stem from an incident involving <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-reportedly-dealing-cps-jace-evans-runaway-attempt.html/?swcfpc=1″>Jenelle Evans’ eldest son</a>, Jace Evans.</p>

<p id=”par-7_72″>In early October 2023, Jace Evans was placed back into the care of his grandmother, Barbara Evans. He ran away from his mother’s home multiple times in the months that proceeded the custody change. According to several sources, Jace informed his grandmother that David Eason had assaulted him. A physical assessment completed at a hospital showed that the teen had marks on both his arm and his neck consistent with child abuse.</p>
<p id=”par-8_58″>Police initially charged Eason with misdemeanor child abuse, but<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-spotted-back-in-north-carolina-as-restraining-order-against-david-eason-is-set-to-expire.html/”> an additional charge of felony strangulation</a> was added. The charge carries a prison sentence of up to 39 months. His case has not yet gone to trial. Jace was returned to his mother’s care in February. He did not return to the home until after Eason moved out. </p>
