Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) girls Athlete of the Week poll.
For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from Nov. 4-9.
Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections.
Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.
We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday.
We also review stats submitted to MaxPreps by coaches/team statisticians.
On to the nominees:
Chelsea Branley, James Logan volleyball: The freshman standout dominated the NCS Open Division third-place match. She had 30 kills, seven digs and two aces for the Colts. She also had 30 kills in a 3-2 loss to Marin Catholic.
Tiffany Chang, Valley Christian golf: Finished third in the individual CCS championships and helped the Warriors capture a fourth consecutive team section title with a record score of 336.
Doris Cheung, Sacred Heart Cathedral volleyball: The junior setter had a team-high 16 assists as the top-seeded Fightin’ Irish swept Soquel in the CCS Division III title match.
Grace Gowdy, St. Francis volleyball: The senior had a team-high 17 kills to go along with nine digs in the Lancers’ 3-1 victory over St. Ignatius in the CCS Open Division championship match.
Carla Granados, Branham flag football: The senior finished her season with two huge performances against San Jose rivals. She threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns against Pioneer and then threw for four more TDs and ran for another in a victory over Lincoln. She finished the season with 60 total TDs.

Ainsley Hogan, Campolindo water polo: The senior scored two goals and had a steal and a block in an NCS semifinal victory over Acalanes. Coach Kim Everist said that she led the defense, too.
Kate Hsia, Menlo School tennis: She teamed with fellow senior Izzy Klugman to capture the WBAL doubles championship with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Harker.
Anjali Huber, Northgate flag football: The quarterback threw a touchdown to Sadie Hansell and ran for 123 yards and another score in a 34-12 victory over University-San Francisco.
Kiana Mark, Monta Vista volleyball: The senior did it all for Monta Vista in a CCS Division II playoff victory over Christopher. She had 22 kills, 11 digs and a solo block for the Matadors.
Ashara Rodrigo, El Cerrito tennis: The junior captured the Tri-County Athletic League singles championship. She is a three-time TCAL singles champion.
Taylor Roloff, Encinal volleyball: The Jets standout had a fantastic match in the NCS Division IV semifinals, finishing with 27 kills, two assists and two blocks.
