Police: Man dies after being run over by his own truck in Emeryville parking lot

EMERYVILLE — A 63-year-old Oakland man was killed Monday night when he was run over by his own truck while he was working on the vehicle in a Target store parking lot, authorities said.

The coroner’s bureau identified the man Thursday as Willie T. Hill.

Driver hits, kills pedestrian Monday in San Jose

The death happened about 9:14 p.m. Monday in the Target store parking lot in the 1500 block of 40th Street.

Police said based on a review of surveillance video, Hill was working on his Ford F150 truck when he was run over by the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not release other details of the investigation.
