2024 Election Results: Alhambra Mayor Sasha Renée Pérez in lead for state Senate 25th District seat

The race to represent the vast 25th state Senate district culminated Tuesday Nov. 5, as voters in the district gave their final say.

Early results from the Los Angeles County Registrar’s Office appeared to showed Alhambra Mayor Sasha Renée Pérez, a Democrat, in the lead over Crescenta Valley Town Councilmember Elizabeth Wong Ahlers, a Republican, with several more rounds to results to come through the night and into the coming days.

The two beat out three other candidates in the primary to advance to the general election.

Whoever wins will replace Sen. Anthony Portantino, who is termed-out. Senate District 25 represents parts of the San Fernando, San Gabriel and Pomona valleys in northeastern L.A. County.

It includes all or parts of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Monrovia, Glendora and Claremont.
