Sophie Turner is opening up about recovering from her “incredibly sad” split from Joe Jonas and giving a peek into her “very happy” new relationship, weeks after the exes settled their divorce.
The “Game of Thrones” alum, 28, told Harper’s BAZAAR that, due to legal proceedings, she “can’t really say much” about the end of her four-year marriage to the “Sucker” singer, 35.
The exes settled their contentious divorce last month, one year after Jonas filed to dissolve the union.
“It was incredibly sad. We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard,” said Turner.
Jonas filed for a dissolution of marriage in early September 2023, a move that allegedly shocked Turner. She said in a lawsuit at the time that she only learned of the only learned of the filing “through the media.”
In speaking to Harper’s, Turner said that “Trust,” her upcoming psychological thriller about an actress in the aftermath of a high-profile scandal, “really mirrored my life from this past year, and it was a very cathartic experience for me.
“It was a chance to let out some serious anger, which was fun. So that felt right for me to do,” said Turner.

The actress added that she is “so happy to be back” in her native U.K., and that “it felt as if my life was on pause” during the six years she spent in the U.S. with Jonas, whom she married in 2019. The former couple share daughters Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022.
Turner has been linked to “lovely” aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson since at least November 2023.
“We’re very happy,” she said. “It came around very quickly. I just needed to go on a date to know how to do it again. That was the first date and the last date, and it’s been great.”
The 30-year-old heir to the Cowdray estate is “funny, and he brings out the cheeky side of me, the fun side,” said Turner, adding, “He lights me back up.”
