Denver weather: “Spooktacular” night in forecast for trick-or-treating

Despite Wednesday’s snow and an overnight freeze warning, the Halloween weather will be “spooktacular” for trick-or-treaters in the metro area, according to the National Weather Service.

Denver will see sunny skies Thursday and a high near 58 degrees before temperatures drop to 29 degrees overnight, NWS forecasters said.

During the start of prime trick-or-treating time — around 6 p.m. — Denver area temperatures will range from 50 to 55 degrees, forecasters said.

Temperatures will fall into the 40s after sunset and into the 30s around 10 p.m., which is normal for this time of year, forecasters said.

Light winds of up to 8 mph will be possible throughout the evening, NWS forecasters said.
