Disneyland brings back Pixar’s Better Together parade

The Disneyland resort is bringing back a Pixar parade featuring characters from newer films like “Turning Red,” “Soul” and “Luca” and old favorites like “Toy Story,” “Monsters Inc.” and “The Incredibles” along with energetic dancers, themed floats and a contagious soundtrack.

The Pixar-themed Better Together parade will be returning to the Disneyland resort, according to the Disney Auditions website.

Auditions will be held Nov. 11 for the roles of Miriam, Abby, Priya, Jin Lee and the 4*Town boy band from “Turning Red,” Joe Gardner from “Soul” and Luxo Jr. roller skaters.

The Better Together parade last ran in the spring and summer during Pixar Fest at Disney California Adventure.

The Better Together parade drew upon elements from the Pixar Play Parade that had a decade-long run at Disney California Adventure before moving over to Disneyland during Pixar Fest in 2018.

The Better Together parade featured roller skaters, bicyclists and dancers accompanying seven parade units — including floats dedicated to “Turning Red,” “Soul,” “Luca,” “Up” and “Inside Out.”

A new parade soundtrack wove in familiar songs from three Pixar films — “Nobody Like U” by 4*Town in “Turning Red,” “It’s Alright” from “Soul” and a 1960s beach movie-style song sung in Italian for “Luca.”
