The Bay Area News Group’s high school crew is back for another week of football predictions.
Christian Babcock, Nathan Canilao and Joseph Dycus join long-timers Mike Lefkow and Darren Sabedra to see who can pick the most games correctly each week.
All in good fun, of course.
In our weekly video show, the guys broke down several key games, including St. Francis’ visit to Valley Christian and Campolindo trying to once again spoil Acalanes’ quest for an outright league championship.
Last season, Campolindo scored 15 consecutive points in the backend of the final quarter to stun Acalanes 25-24.
Dycus expects an electric atmosphere in Moraga on Friday.
“Some of these games we go to, the stands are maybe 80 percent full,” Dycus said. “I expect this one to be packed out. This is a game that you’re going to have to get to probably two hours before the game to get a parking spot.”
Babcock anticipates a lot of running plays when Wilcox plays at Los Gatos, but nobody on our panel is picking the visitors to pull off an upset.
Sabedra is the only one in the panel to take Campo to beat Acalanes and Valley Christian to win at home against St. Francis.
