In a social media post shortly before 4 p.m., the San Jose Police Department said officers were in the area of East Capitol Expressway and Quimby Road “attempting to locate robbery suspects that fled from a vehicle.”

Additional details about the robbery were not immediately available Wednesday night.

Police asked people to avoid the area, warning that traffic would be impacted for a “significant amount of time” on Quimby Road, from Sand Point Drive to Caraston Way.

Around 6:45 p.m., police said the suspects had been arrested and the roadway was open again.
