4 injured, including 2 cops, in Rogers Park rollover crash

A woman who disregarded a red light rammed a police car, a minivan and at least two other vehicles, landing two people including two police officers in a hospital in Rogers Park Monday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., a woman driving a silver SUV north disregarded a traffic signal in the 7600 block of North Sheridan Road and slammed into a police squad car going west through the intersection, police said.

The SUV then collided into a dark-colored minivan stopped at a red light before rolling over and crashing into two unoccupied vehicles that were parked, officials said.

The woman who caused the crash and the driver of the minivan were both taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where they were in good condition, authorities said.

Two officers were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries and were in good condition, police said.

The woman driving the silver SUV was placed into custody and will be issued citations, police said.
