<p id=”par-1_15″>Reports have been swirling recently that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-harry/?swcfpc=1″>Prince Harry</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a> purchased a second home in Portugal. </p>
<p id=”par-2_60″>Having a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harry-meghan-just-purchased-home-europe-neighbors-royals.html/?swcfpc=1″>residence in Europe</a> seemed to make sense as the Sussexes would have a base outside of the U.S. since they were evicted from Frogmore. It was also believed that the property they chose was right near <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/author-says-princess-diana-once-forbid-prince-william-prince-harry-seeing-favorite-cousins-princesses-beatrice-and-eugenie.html/”>Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie</a>, as she and her family spend half of the year in Portugal because of her husband’s job. </p>
<p id=”par-3_77″>Some have wondered how having such high-profile people like the duke and duchess there would affect the posh resort area where their new home is located. But a real estate agent who practiced in the town has said Harry and Meghan will have “zero impact” because they already have “much more famous” celebrities there. However, a source says those big-name residents aren’t going to like having the prince and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-getting-residual-checks-suits-surprise-streaming-success.html/”>former <em>Suits</em> star</a> living anywhere near them. </p>

<p id=”par-4_23″>Several reports have claimed that the Sussexes snatched up a villa in the luxury CostaTerra resort in Comporta situated on the coastline. </p>
<p id=”par-5_39″>According to <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1964882/prince-harry-meghan-markle-portugal-locals” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a>, a local estate agent, who has worked in the industry for decades, speculated Meghan and Harry would have shelled more than $4 million for a property in the charming villages found on Portugal’s west coast. </p>
<p id=”par-6_71″>He said: “In recent years we have seen A-listers from the States buying homes or plots which are essentially closed environments. It’s very high-end and homes range from 4 million to 20 million euros. There have been rumors in recent months that Harry and Meghan are among the latest buyers. But it’s unclear if they have bought a home that is already built or if it is yet to be built.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_44″>The agent also explained that having residents like the Sussexes won’t have any impact since bigger stars already reside there saying: “We have much richer and much more famous people buying here for sure. I think they will have zero impact, to be honest.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_36″>However, a source, who spoke to <a href=”https://www.thetimes.com/article/harry-and-meghan-home-in-on-a-portuguese-hideaway-fbjk3q8fh” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Times</a>, doubts the story that Meghan and Harry even bought a property in Portugal because their prospective neighbors at CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club wouldn’t want them living nearby.</p>
<p id=”par-9_28″>That source told the publication: “Everything is kept very tight here, but even so, we would have been made aware of the Sussexes if the story was accurate.</p>
<p id=”par-10_32″>“Tom Holland, the actor, has a house here, and there are some Gulf Arab Sheiks. I don’t think they would like the Sussexes as neighbours — it would cause too much publicity.”</p>
