Man killed, restaurant employee seriously wounded in Little Village shooting

Two gunmen opened fire outside a Little Village restaurant, killing a man trying to enter and wounding a female staffer inside late Monday.

Around 11:35 p.m., a 30-year-old man was trying to walk into a restaurant in the 4100 block of West 26th Street when two gunman fired shots at him, hitting him several times in the head, Chicago police said.

A 27-year-old woman working inside was seriously hurt when bullets shattered the glass of the restaurant and hit her in the buttocks, police said.

The unidentified man was dead at the scene and the woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was in serious condition, according to police.

No arrests have been made and Area Four detectives are investigating.
