The “Stuff the Van” events, held nationwide, are meant to benefit all recipients of Whole Foods Market’s “Nourishing Our Neighborhoods” program. Since 2020, Whole Foods has donated 50 refrigerated vans to food rescue partners across the nation and Canada.

This is the second “Stuff the Van” event for White Pony Express (WPE). The food donations will help support individuals in the community who face food and nutrition insecurity. Several government officials, including Walnut Creek Mayor Loella Haskew, attended the event to recognize and celebrate Whole Foods’ generous contribution.

Founded in 2013 by Dr. Carol Weyland Conner, the Concord-based WPE is a volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to eliminate hunger and poverty by delivering the abundance all around us to those in need — with love.
