A man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a fatal Commerce City hit-and-run that killed one person and sent three others to the hospital.
The man has not been publicly identified, but police said he was the driver of the Audi SUV that struck a family of four in their car near the intersection of Holly Street and East 58th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said they aren’t releasing the man’s name or any identifying photos because formal charges haven’t been filed.
One person — an 18-year-old man — was killed in the crash that also injured his parents and another teenage passenger, police said. None of the victims have been identified by police.
The driver and passengers in the suspect SUV immediately got out, jumped into another nearby car and fled the scene of the crash, police said.
