The Castle Rock Police Department confirmed that there was a police shooting Wednesday night near the intersection of Bilberry Street and Meadows Boulevard and that the suspect was dead, but did not say if officers’ shots killed the suspect.

Police originally responded to the intersection after multiple reports of shots fired near an apartment complex around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The intersection is near multiple apartment complexes, a movie theater, an indoor climbing center and several parks.

No officers were injured in the shooting, police officials said.

No additional information about the shooting was available Thursday morning.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
