1 killed, 2 wounded in East Garfield Park shooting

A man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in East Garfield Park.

Officers responded about 2 p.m. to the 3200 block of West Maypole Avenue, where they found two men, ages 31 and 49, both shot in the leg, Chicago police said. They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

A third man, 22, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his back and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
