<p id=”par-1_37″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/”>Meghan Markle</a>’s supporting her fellow <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/suits/”><em>Suits</em></a> alums. Patrick J. Adams, who hosts a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/patrick-j-adams-so-glad-didnt-watch-suits-now.html/”><em>Suits</em> watch podcast</a> with Sarah Rafferty, revealed the Duchess of Sussex sent him a sweet text after learning about <em>Sidebar: A Suits</em> <em>Watch Podcast</em>. </p>

<p id=”par-2_54″>In a Reddit Q&A on Oct. 6, 2024, Adams revealed that while he doesn’t talk to Meghan much these days she did text him after hearing about the <em>Suits</em> podcast. “We are not really in touch,” he wrote of Meghan (via<a href=”https://people.com/meghan-markle-texted-patrick-j-adams-about-suits-podcast-despite-being-not-really-in-touch-8724395″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”> People</a>). “She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons.” </p>
<p id=”par-3_50″>“[But] upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way,” Adams continued. He also shared that it was “lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_35″>Does that mean Meghan will be a guest on the podcast? Only time will tell. But she certainly has podcast experience. The 43-year-old <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-cant-repeat-archetypes-lemonada-media-podcast-recipe-for-failure.html/”>hosted Spotify’s “Archetypes”</a> and has another on the way with Lemonada Media.</p>
<p id=”par-5_27″>Meghan left <em>Suits</em> after seven seasons of playing Rachel Zane, lawyer Mike Ross’s (Adams) love interest, ahead of her <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-williams-question-made-prince-harry-sick-night-wedding-meghan-markle.html/”>royal wedding to Prince Harry</a> in May 2018. </p>

<p id=”par-6_29″>Discussing the <em>Suits</em> pilot on the podcast, Adams recalled knowing Meghan was the right person to play Rachel. What “helped,” Adams explained, was that they’d already met once before. </p>
<p id=”par-7_48″>“I think just knowing each other and getting to calm down and not have those nerves of just getting to know one another really <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/patrick-j-adams-knew-meghan-markle-part-rachel-zane-suits-almost-immediately.html/”>helped that chemistry read</a>,” he said. “It was just pretty clear that we had an easy going thing when we went into that room.” </p>
<p id=”par-8_33″>“It was pretty clear that she was gonna get the part from the minute we did the chemistry read,” he added. “It was just so much easier than it was with anybody else.” </p>
<p id=”par-9_33″>Adams and Meghan read the “big” scene where Mike and Rachel first meet in the pilot. “It’s a big one,” Adams said. “And she crushed it and she crushes it in the show.” </p>
