<p id=”par-1_76″>Sean “Diddy” Combs has come under fire over the last year for a number of scandals. Things first truly came to light in early 2024 when a video was released showing Diddy assaulting his <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/cassie-sean-p-diddy-combs-ex-spotted-smiling-waving-arrest.html/”>then-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura,</a> in a hotel hallway. From there, allegations began to mount, and in September 2024, Diddy was arrested on three charges: racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to the <a href=”https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/sean-combs-charged-manhattan-federal-court-sex-trafficking-and-other-federal-offenses”>United States District Attorney’s Office</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-2_41″>But now, people are taking a closer look at how Diddy might have impacted other celebrities’ lives through the years. Record executive Suge Knight recently claimed that Diddy is responsible for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s high-profile divorce earlier this year.</p>

<p id=”par-3_111″>Suge Knight and his son have a podcast called “Collect Call with Suge Knight,” where Knight discusses all kinds of topics and his views on certain situations. Knight is currently incarcerated; he’s serving a 28-year prison sentence at RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego for manslaughter in the death of Terry Carter. However, he managed to start the podcast from prison, and in <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfhgRcbLuws”>episode 22</a>, he had some theories about Affleck and Lopez’s divorce. Specifically, Knight touched on the idea that Lopez allegedly knew that Diddy was involved in a 2001 nightclub shooting, but both Lopez and Diddy allegedly blamed rapper Shyne, who was then convicted, imprisoned, and later deported.</p>
<p id=”par-4_58″>“They [the FBI] go raid Puffy’s house, and they get all these videos of JLo doing this and JLo doing that,” Knight said in the podcast. “And they know the fact that JLo lied and said that the gun was Shyne’s or whatever and sent that man to prison, destroyed his life, and she knew it was Puffy’s.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_54″>Knight then tied it into Affleck and Lopez’s divorce, suggesting the FBI discovered the tapes where Lopez admits to knowing, and then showing those tapes to Affleck. “I’m quite sure they said, ‘We want to show you some things about your wife,’” Knight said, adding that Affleck then <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopezs-friends-family-noticed-major-shift-month-filing-divorce.html/”>separated from Lopez</a> as a result.</p>

<p id=”par-6_42″>Of course, it’s important to note that Knight’s allegations are simply allegations and have not been proven. It’s unclear what the FBI found in Diddy’s home pertaining to Lopez, and that’s not to say it was the true cause for their divorce.</p>
<p id=”par-7_60″>Lopez and Affleck wed in 2022 but separated earlier this year. Lopez officially <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-will-handle-backlash-ben-affleck-divorce-grace-attorney-says.html/”>filed the divorce paperwork</a> on the couple’s anniversary in August 2024. Lopez has not spoken out about Diddy since his arrest and is likely trying to distance herself from him even further. As of right now, Lopez has not been implicated in any crimes involving her ex.</p>
