Child, man shot, wounded in West Pullman shooting

A child and man were injured in a shooting in West Pullman on Monday night, Chicago police said.

A man, 27, and boy, 7, were in a residence in the 11600 block of South Yale Avenue at 9:06 p.m. when someone inside a white Audi sedan on the street fired shots, police said. The 7-year-old was shot in the back and grazed on his head.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition; the man was shot multiple times in the chest and arm and taken to Christ Medical Center also in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
