Donald Trump announces Aurora campaign rally at Gaylord Rockies

Former President Donald Trump will speak at a rally at Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora on Friday afternoon, his presidential campaign announced in a news release Monday.

The Republican presidential nominee first talked about Aurora’s recent problems with blighted apartment complexes and the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua during a New York campaign rally in September.

Aurora city and police officials have repeatedly said claims that the city is overrun by the gang are untrue, but the Trump campaign again on Monday claimed the city is a “war zone.”
