<p id=”par-2_39″>Cline’s ready to graduate from the college that is <em>Outer Banks</em>. Speaking to <a href=”https://magazinec.com/style/interview-with-madelyn-cline/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>C Magazine</a>, she compared her time on the Netflix series to higher education, saying that although the experience has “shaped” her, she’s ready for what’s next. </p>
<p id=”par-3_41″>“One thing I love about the boot camp that is ‘Outer Banks’ is that there’s so much of me that informed my character as I grew up,” she said. “But there’s also so much of my character that has shaped me.” </p>
<p id=”par-4_20″>Cline plays Sarah Cameron, the daughter of a prominent family who aligns herself with the local “have-nots,” or the Pogues.</p>
<p id=”par-5_42″>“I’ve spent the better part of six years with this cast and crew,” she continued. (<em>Outer Banks</em> quickly became a hit after premiering in 2020.) “I feel like I had my unofficial college years with them. They’ve seen me through so much.” </p>
<p id=”par-6_43″>“But wrapping up this season, there was a sense of looming finality,” she went on. “The timing is right. I feel ready to differentiate myself, to explore new spaces. And have some wonder about stories that I haven’t been a part of telling.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_19″>At the time of writing, it hasn’t been confirmed whether <span style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px”><em>Outer Banks</em> will return for another season,</span> let alone Cline. </p>

In July 2024, it was announced she was “in talks” to lead an ensemble cast of an <em>I Know What You Did Last Summer </em>horror movie reboot alongside Camila Mendes. According to <a href=”https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/i-know-what-you-did-last-summer-camila-mendes-madelyn-cline-1235941319/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Hollywood Reporter</a>, the release date is “penciled in” for July 18, 2025. </p>
<p id=”par-9_46″>Also ahead for Cline is the film adaptation of J. P. Monninger’s <em>The Map That Leads to You</em> novel. In it, she plays Heather Mulgrew, a young woman who meets a stranger, played by <em>Riverdale</em>’s KJ Apa, who changes her life while traveling Europe with friends. </p>

<p id=”par-11_46″>Unlike previous seasons, however, the show is premiering in two parts rather than all 10 episodes hitting the streamer at once. Part One of <em>Outer Banks</em> Season 5, which consists of five episodes, premieres first, followed by Part Two a month later on Nov. 7, 2024. </p>
<p id=”par-12_27″>John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah, JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) find themselves—no surprise here—once again looking for lost treasure. </p>
