Gunfire shatters CTA bus window in Washington Heights, no injuries reported

Gunfire shattered a CTA bus window Thursday night in Washington Heights on the South Side.

Around 9:45 p.m., the bus was in the 1100 block of West 95th Street when someone opened fire in the area and at least one bullet shattered its back window, Chicago police said.

Six passengers on the bus were unharmed and continued to their destination, police said.

The bus driver was hospitalized for evaluation, officials said.

No one was in custody and Area Two detectives were investigating.
