Boy, 16, wounded in Near West Side shooting

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday on the Near West Side.

Around 2:45 a.m., the teen was walking in the 1900 block of West Ogden Avenue when someone opened fire, hitting him in the torso, Chicago police said.

He was dropped off at Stroger Hospital where he was in fair condition, police said.

Area Three detectives are investigating and no one was in custody.
