WYOMING: Los Gatos residents Gene Sabo, his wife Laurie Turner and their golden retriever, Sundance, visited Grand Teton National Park (pictured) this summer. “Aside from the gorgeous mountains, there are accessible lakes such as Jenny and Jackson and lots of wildlife to see,” Laurie says, “including moose, bears, pronghorns, eagles and ospreys.

“The Tetons are situated between two other attractions, Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park. Jackson Hole includes the town of Jackson which is not to be missed. If you are adventurous, I highly recommend you try tandem paragliding from the top of the ski mountain in Teton Village. You won’t get better views anywhere.”

TRAVEL TIPS: Allow several days to visit Yellowstone, Laurie says. It’s such a large national park with so many natural wonders, “consider staying a couple of nights in at least two different areas, so you can spend more time experiencing the park and less time driving.”
