Diddy” Combs’ arrest</a> in September 2024. Federal agents arrested Combs on counts of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, among other crimes. At the end of 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging physical and sexual abuse. A day after Ventura filed the lawsuit, she and Combs settled out of court. Combs denied the allegations.</p>
<p id=”par-3_35″>“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Ventura stated, according to <a href=”https://www.npr.org/2023/11/18/1213962223/sean-diddy-combs-cassie-settle-lawsuit” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NPR</a>. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_50″>In March 2024, Homeland Security raided two of Combs’ properties. A few months later, a video was released that showed Combs attacking Ventura in a hotel in 2016. Combs came forward on Instagram with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-p-diddy-combs-former-security-thinks-combs-apology-cassie-self-centered.html/”>an apology for his conduct</a>, which raised further questions regarding what went down behind the scenes.</p>
<p id=”par-5_61″>Ventura hasn’t commented on Combs’ arrest as of Sept. 19, 2024. However, she was spotted smiling and waving after stepping out in New York City. Photos from DailyMail.com show her wearing a long sports bra paired with yoga pants and sunglasses. Her hair was in a ponytail. She had a massive smile on her face as she waved to fans. </p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s lawyer, told DailyMail.com that “neither Ms. Ventura nor I have any comment” after Combs’ indictment.</p>

<p id=”par-7_20″>On May 17, <a href=”https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/17/entertainment/sean-combs-cassie-ventura” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>CNN</a> released footage showing Sean “P. Diddy” Combs attacking Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in a hotel hallway. </p>
<p id=”par-8_39″>“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told CNN. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_40″>While Combs attempted to apologize for the behavior, the video is coming back to light with his arrest and future trial. According to <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/1407570/sean-diddy-combs-alleged-texts-sent-after-cassie-attack-revealed-in-sex-trafficking-case” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News</a>, assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson read back alleged texts that Combs sent to Ventura following the assault.</p>
<p id=”par-10_15″>“Call me, the cops are here,” Combs texted. “I have six kids. Call, I’m surrounded.” </p>
<p id=”par-11_21″>“Sick you think it’s OK to do what you’ve done,” Combs received in response. Ventura was not named during the hearing.</p>

<p id=”par-12_36″>Federal agents arrested Sean “P. Diddy” Combs on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking crimes. While Combs’ defense fought for him to attain bail twice, the judges continued to deny him. </p>
<p id=”par-13_56″>Despite Combs’ legal team arguing for his release on a $50 million bond, the judges feared that Combs might tamper with witnesses while out of jail. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson told Judge Andrew L. Carter that Combs has “a long history of intimidating both accusers and witnesses to his alleged abuse,” <a href=”https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2024/09/18/sean-diddy-combs-jail-bail/75274568007/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>USA Today</a> reports. </p>
