Metallica will play a pair of shows at Denver’s Empower Field in 2025

In what will surely be one of the biggest concert runs of 2025, Metallica on Wednesday said it would play a pair of nights at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High next summer as part of its ongoing M72 tour.

Tickets for the June 27 and 29, 2025, concerts at the 76,125-capacity venue (often less than that for concerts) are on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, at ticketmaster.com. Prices were not immediately available.

Fan Club presales start early on Monday, Sept. 23, the band said. “To request your Fan Club presale code, visit metallica.com/presale-codes. Passes for Denver will cover both days; single-day tickets to those shows will be available starting Jan. 17, 2025.

The tour will include opening acts such as Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies and Ice Nine Kills. In Denver, Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills will open the first night (June 27), while Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies will open the second night (June 29).

“We’ve added some cities to the weekend adventures that we haven’t visited in quite some time, including Tampa (over 15 years!), Denver, Nashville, and a location that’s been on our wish list for far too long, as we’ll finally be hitting our Bay Area home field of Levi’s Stadium for the first time,” band members wrote in a statement on Metallica’s website.
