Teenager reported missing from Lakewood last seen Sunday, police say

A 15-year-old girl was reported missing from Lakewood on Tuesday after last being seen on Sunday, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Valerie Ayala-Griego, 15, was last seen in the 6100 block of West 13th Avenue in Lakewood around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the police department said in a missing person alert.

Ayala-Griego, an Indigenous teenager whose tribal affiliation is Cherokee, is described as 5-foot 6-inches, 130 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes, police said.
