One killed, three injured in two Aurora shootings overnight

One person was killed and three people were injured after two shootings occurred in less than an hour overnight in Aurora, police said Sunday morning.

Police responded to the first shooting at an apartment complex in the 13700 block of East Fourth Avenue around 1:20 a.m., the Aurora Police Department said in a post on X. Two people were taken to hospitals with “varying injuries.”

The second shooting was reported at 1:47 a.m. approximately 3 miles north in the 11200 block of East Colfax Avenue, Aurora police said.

One person died at the scene and one person was taken to the hospital.

No one has been arrested in the shootings, but investigators do not believe they are related, according to police officials.
