A 3.5-magnitude earthquake near Palos Verdes shook parts of Southern California on Sunday afternoon, July 21, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake, reported shortly after 3 p.m., was centered 4.4 miles west of Palos Verdes Estates, 5.3 miles west-southwest of Redondo Beach and 5.3 miles southwest of Hermosa Beach.
It occurred at a depth of eight miles.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
