And joining in that ovation were quite a few superstars, including one famous face whose enthusiastic reaction to seeing the princess</span> is now going viral. </p>

<p id=”par-3_66″>The day before the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final, Kensington Palace announced that Kate would be attending the event which is only her second public appearance since she <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/real-reason-kate-middleton-didnt-announce-cancer-sooner.html/”>revealed her cancer diagnosis</a> in March. The mom of three was accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/pippa-middleton-stunning-engagement-ring-worth-more-sister-kate.html/”>her sister, Pippa Middleton</a>, to watch the highly anticipated match between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain. </p>

<p id=”par-4_29″>As she made her way to her seat in the Royal Box, she was given a standing ovation from the crowd with some Hollywood royalty just feet away. </p>
<p id=”par-5_47″>A video <a href=”https://www.tiktok.com/@thisissangitapatel/video/7391520965445963014″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>posted on TikTok</a> shows Benedict Cumberbatch, Julia Roberts, and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/tom-cruise/”>Tom Cruise</a> all clapping for Kate. And Cruise’s reaction as he smiled from ear to ear did not go unnoticed, as some are convinced he’s in awe of the princess every time he sees her. </p>
<p id=”par-6_11″>“Tom is a major Kate fan haha,” one person wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-7_7″>“Tom is soooo happy,” a second added.</p>
<p id=”par-8_6″>“Tom luuuuuuvs her,” another said. </p>

<p id=”par-10_30″>And a fifth posted, “Looks like Tom is clapping that hard to get Kate’s attention,” while others joked that the <em>Mission Impossible</em> star has a “crush” on the princess. </p>
<p id=”par-11_20″>The video has gone viral with well over 4 million views, more than 275,000 likes, and thousands of comments. </p>

<p id=”par-14_39″>Sky News Australia contributor Dr. Erin Watson explained that the princess switched which hand she held her clutch in after Cruise’s gesture because royals aren’t to be touched. However, most fans believed the actor didn’t know about that protocol. </p>
<p id=”par-15_28″>“I don’t think Tom meant anything other than trying to just be a gentleman. Prince William just probably isn’t used to this kind of stuff,” one person opined.</p>
