OAKLAND — Police here have identified a man who was shot and killed during a brief conversation with another man late last month.
Tyler Mitchell, 26, was killed June 29 on the 8400 block of Edes Avenue. Police say that Mitchell was standing outside of his parked vehicle and talking to a man who had pulled up in his own car, when the other man pulled out a pistol and shot him. The suspect then proceeded to strike Mitchell several times with the firearm after Mitchell fell to the ground, authorities said.
