The rocker frontwoman was launched into the public eye and stayed there through the early 2000s. By 2015, the band had gone on multiple hiatuses and disbanded. But they reunited in 2024 to play at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Now, Stefani is headed back on The Voice to coach next season. Here’s what an insider said about her not needing No Doubt thanks to her TV side gig.

Gwen Stefani is ultra-famous in the music world thanks to her coaching on The Voice, marriage to Blake Shelton, and successful solo music career. However, fans will never forget how she got her start. Stefani gained fame in the ’90s to early 2000s via the ska-punk band No Doubt.

No Doubt still has a serious following in 2024, as they headlined Coachella and gave a memorable performance to fans. Those who saw No Doubt were hopeful that their Coachella performance was a teaser for what was to come in the future. However, a source told <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/tv/11675811/gwen-stefani-salary-revealed-the-voice-over-touring/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Sun that Stefani feels like she doesn’t “need” No Doubt to help her career, as she’s found success elsewhere.

“She gets private bookings all the time to do solo gigs, and, of course, she plays those songs,” the source said. “It is a business decision, really. ‘Go to work and take in all the cash on your own or split it several ways?’”

The source added that Stefani and the crew discussed continuing No Doubt after Coachella.

“They worked so hard for months to deliver the perfect show and return the magic to the audience,” the insider continued. “The desire initially was Gwen and the band to use that platform to keep playing beyond Coachella on a tour, but the plan fell apart. But there was talk of tensions between members and managers around going back out and trying to work around everyone’s schedules.”

The insider added that The Voice execs offered Stefani $13 million for her to return as a coach, so she took the opportunity.
