At the glitzy fundraiser for President Joe Biden’s campaign Saturday in Downtown L.A., a host of politicos lined up to shake hands with the president, and also with former President Barack Obama, who shared “co-star” billing with his former boss.

Elected officials at the event at the Peacock Theater at LA Live included Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Los Angeles, and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass.
Celebrities in the house included George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jeff Ross, Jack Black and a surprise guest star, Barbra Streisand. Late night host Jimmy Kimmel served as the emcee.

Before the event even kicked off, officials said it has raised $28 million, a record for Democratic party events.
