Armed suspects posing as delivery drivers used the ruse to break into and rob a family home in Aurora Wednesday, police said Friday.
The suspects were dressed in construction vests and claimed they were there to deliver a package, according to a statement from the Aurora Police Department. They waited for the homeowners to open the door before forcing their way in and robbing the family.
Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, in the 4100 block of South Richfield Street in Aurora.

No severe injuries were reported and police believe this was a targeted incident, according to the department’s statement.
If residents think their mail seems suspicious, they should contact the carrier and report any crime to local police, the police department said.
