Denver police confronted pro-Palestine protestors assembled at Denver’s Auraria Campus Friday, arresting anyone who did not clear the area by 12:45 p.m.
Chants of “long live Palestine” and “free Palestine” continued to fill Tivoli Quad just before 1:30 p.m. even as police handcuffed and removed protestors from the scene.
The Auraria Campus first sent out an alert to avoid the Tivoli Quad “due to civil unrest” at 12:30 p.m. Friday. As of 1:15 p.m., all inbound traffic into the campus remained closed.

“Failure to disperse will subject each of you to arrest and prosecution,” police officers can be heard telling protestors in a video posted by Colorado Palestine Coalition on Instagram Friday afternoon. “If you remain, reasonable and necessary force will be used to remove you”
