Love is literally in the air this month as several airlines have put out sweetheart deals for Valentine’s Day.
If you want to book a special trip for your Valentine, are planning a girls weekend with your “galentines” or just want to take a solo escape, here are airfare deals that made our hearts flutter with wanderlust. Just act fast. Seats are limited and the sales end soon
Southwest Airlines Month of Love
It’s not too surprising that the airline based at Dallas Love Field would offer a Valentine’s Day sale. Until Feb. 21, Southwest Airlines is offering a Month of Love sale with fares starting at $49 one way. The sale is good on nonstop routes through May 22, 2019. Southwest is also running an international fare special. You’ll find the best deals on travel between April 23 and May 16, 2019.
Allegiant Air seasonal special
Allegiant Air has a seasonal special on its routes right now. The best deals might be on flights between Mesa and Las Vegas. Allegiant has moved some of its fleet to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport during the spring months, so if you can leave on a Saturday, you might be able to grab a great deal. We spotted $33 one way in March and April. The airline’s website doesn’t say when the sale ends, but it does say seats are limited.
JetBlue I Love Saving sale
JetBlue has an I Love Saving sale. Fares nationwide start at $49 one way; the best deal from Phoenix is to Boston for $134 one way. The best prices are from Feb 26 through April. The sale ends Feb. 13.
Emirates Airlines two-for-one deal
Emirates Airlines is also offering a sweetheart of a deal. The Dubai-based carrier is offering two-for-one bookings. Emirates doesn’t fly from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, so you’d need to patch your trip together with a flight to one of the airports it does serve, such as San Francisco or Seattle. The cheapest deal is two economy tickets from New York to Milan for $799, but that two-for-one offer is also available to the Maldives and Bali.
Keep watching Hawaii
Southwest conducted a extended-range flight test last week, meaning the airline is closer to getting approval to fly from California to the Aloha State. Even though no flights have been announced yet, we’re starting to see the “Southwest effect” on Phoenix-to-Hawaii routes even though Southwest won’t offer its flights from Phoenix right away.
If you can leave before the high-traffic summer months start, you’ll likely get a great deal on airfare. We’ve spotted some $400 fares on Hawaiian Airlines and other carriers through May. Use google.com/flights or Kayak.com/explore to investigate what dates work for your schedule and budget.
