Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has almost a full squad to pick from for tonight’s first leg of their last 16 Champions League showdown.

Man Utd provisional squad to face PSG: Goalkeepers: De Gea, Romero, Grant. Defenders: Bailly, Shaw, Smalling, Jones, Young, Dalot, Lindelof. Midfielders: Pogba, Fred, Pereira, Matic, McTominay, Mata, Herrera. Forwards: Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial, Lingard, Rashford.

That means the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Victor Lindelof are expected to return.

However, three stars haven’t been spotted by Manchester Evening News photographers though.

Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian are not in the squad to face the French champions.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic backs PSG…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes PSG are slight favourites to beat Manchester United in the last 16 of the Champions League – but says he wins whatever the result.

“PSG is playing against a team that is in their moment now so anything can happen with United, whoever they play against,” he said.

“If you had asked me before they had this moment, I would say ‘OK, so PSG are favourites’ but now I think it’s difficult.

“But I think PSG are little favourites because of the players they have but whoever wins, I’m the winner. So whoever goes through I will still have my team in the Champions League. So I’m OK, either way it goes.”

Fergie fingerprints – Wes Brown

Wes Brown can see the fingerprints of Sir Alex Ferguson on the Manchester United team transformed under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“One of Ole’s big things is he’s taken everything that Sir Alex tried to teach him and he’s teaching it to the lads now,” Brown said.

“That can only be a good thing, be that in the way he speaks to players individually or the way he’s gone about it on the pitch as well.

“He’s brought Mike Phelan in as well, he was a huge part of Sir Alex’s team, and he’s managed to get everyone playing again, he’s got them all enjoying it. Confidence is high and it’s been showing on the pitch.”

Paul Pogba admits Neymar boost

Paul Pogba admits that Manchester United are “lucky” that PSG star Neymar is injured for their Champions League tie.

Neymar will miss around 10 weeks of action thanks to a metatarsal injury.

And Pogba insists his team are incredibly fortunate not to have to play against the Brazilian.

“I would say we are lucky that Neymar is not there – it’s unlucky for him, but lucky for us because he’s a player that can change the game by himself as well,” he told the official club website.”
