Lottery winner wears ‘Scream’ mask to hide identity after hitting $1.5M jackpot

A lottery winner hit the jackpot last week in Jamaica, and the person showed up to claim the winnings wearing a Scream mask in an attempt to protect his identity.

The man hit the $158,400,000 jackpot, claiming the prize late last week. The person arrived at the lotto centre wearing the mask from the 1996 horror flick, along with a pair of black rubber gloves.

The person was only identified as A. Campbell. According to local media, it took Campbell 54 days to claim his prize after falling ill.

“My head hurt me for three days because I was thinking so much. [Wondering] if what I’ve been longing for really come true. I had a belly ache for two weeks, sometimes I feel so much pain I forgot that I had won,” Campbell told St. Lucia’s The Loop.
