BLACKPINK Makes U.S. Television Debut on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Hours after announcing their first North American tour, K-pop group BLACKPINK has made their U.S. television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The girls ended the show with an exciting performance of their Billboard Hot 100 hit, ” DDU-DU-DDU-DU.”

“Thank you for having us @colbertlateshow ? We had such a great time !!,” the girls wrote on their official group Instagram page.

After their historic performance, BLACKPINK, made up of members Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé, greeted host Stephen Colbert, who then announced that the girls were going on their first U.S. tour this Spring.

YG Entertainment, the group’s label, broke the news just three hours before the girls’ performance aired on television. According to their social media post, the tour will take the group to six cities across North America: Los Angeles, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, and Fort Worth. Their string of dates will occur around the same time as their Coachella performance scheduled for this April.

The group is also scheduled for other television performances this week, including Good Morning America on Tuesday, February 12th, and Strahan & Sara on Friday, February 15th.

To celebrate the girls’ first television appearance, fans on social media tweeted the hashtag,#BLACKPINKonLSSC, which eventually became the #1 trend around the world. Even the official Late Show With Stephen Colbert Twitter account joined in on the fun.

We are happy to see BLACKPINK get so much attention in the U.S!
