Jerami Grant, Dennis Schroder are both out Monday vs. Trail Blazers

Jerami Grant and Dennis Schroder will not play Monday night versus the Portland Trail Blazers at Chesapeake Energy Arena, according to Royce Young of ESPN.

Heading into the matchup, the Thunder had listed Grant as ‘Out’ for the game on the injury report due to a sprained right ankle suffered Saturday night against the Houston Rockets.

On the other hand, Schroder will not play due to a personal matter.

Grant will miss his first game of the season on Monday after he had previously appeared in all 55 games for the Thunder this season – the only other player to have appeared in every game is Patrick Patterson.

With Grant out, the team will need to find another player to fill his role in the starting lineup with Patterson as the likely candidate for the spot start Monday against Portland.

Meanwhile, the loss of Schroder will be significant as he has proven to be a big source of offense for the team off of the bench and has been utilized often during the closing minutes of games.

In place of Schroder, players like Raymond Felton, Deonte Burton and Hamidou Diallo could all see some extended action on Monday night.
