OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder shot 14-of-29 from behind the 3-point line and beat the Utah Jazz 116-108 in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Paul George scored 36 points, and shot 8-of-11 from downtown to lead the Thunder and Russell Westbrook added 27. Donovan Mitchell scored 27 to lead the Jazz.
The Jazz jumped out to a 16-4 lead but the game was tied at 25 at the end of the first quarter. The Thunder led by six at halftime, nine at the end of the third frame and as many as 18 in the fourth.
Game 2 will be Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
