Previously, on “Hell’s Kitchen”! Back in the 11th episode, Ramsay asked for Dana Cohen‘s jacket because of her inability to serve lamb at the proper temperature. Who will be following her out the door this week? Only seven players remain at this stage of the competition: Robyn, Elise, Nick Peters Bond, Michelle Tribble, Milly Medley, Benjamin Knack and Jennifer Normant.

Ramsay announced that only five chefs would receive black jackets this week, meaning two contestants were going home. The first of the three challenges they would compete in was the Hell’s Kitchen classic, “Taste it Now Make It.” In this contest the chefs had to re-create a complex, 16-ingredient entree. Milly was the only competitor to correctly guess the ingredients to both purees and successfully re-create the dish, earning him the first black jacket of the night. Nick was the second chef to earn a black jacket after he was able to match up four out of five ingredients in the hash.

In challenge number two, the remaining chefs had to race to collect ingredients and create an amazing dish in less than 30 minutes. After serving up a well-seasoned veal chop, Michelle became the third chef to earn a black jacket and advance further in the competition. The fourth black jacket went to Benjamin, leaving Elise, Jennifer and Robyn to battle it out in the final challenge.

With only one black jacket remaining, the chefs had total freedom to create any dish of their choosing within a 30-minute time limit. Robyn created a refined lamb loin, Elise presented a pan-seared filet mignon and Jennifer served up a glamorous plate of shrimp and scallops. After Ramsay tasted each dish, Elise was the first chef to be eliminated. Ramsay then sent Jennifer home and handed Robyn the final black jacket.
